Enabling you the opportunity to explore what is important to you in a safe and confidential space.
Working with a Relational Integrative approach means I am informed by a range of different therapeutic research and tools. The three main approaches involved are Person Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT. Below is an indication of how each approach might show up in each session, whilst understanding we are all unique and they may appear in different forms for each of us.
The Person Centred approach keeps you at the centre of the sessions ensuring they focus on what is important to you as an individual. The Psychodynamic lens enables us to create an understanding of how your experiences throughout your life have impacted your patterns of relating, attachment to others and yourself. We draw upon CBT techniques to assist with understanding the impact on day to day life, through journalling and through records. These theories all used together in a relational way can enable us to use the therapeutic relationship to further your understanding of yourself.
A list of common concerns that individuals may find helpful to bring to therapy. This is by no means an exhaustive list and is hoped to give an idea and some examples:
If you are interested in finding out more, we would initially arrange a 20minute phone call. This would be an opportunity for us to get to know each other further and decide how we might work together. During this call we will explore, your reason for seeking therapy, your hopes and expectations as well as how I work.
If we decide to proceed I will send across a Client Agreement, Confidentiality Statement and Key Information Form. Then we can arrange our first session.
The first session will be 50 minutes long and will be mostly getting to know the reason for coming in more detail and laying the foundations for working in a safe space. Future sessions will then take place at the same time each week either in person or on Zoom.
Bound by the BACP Ethical Framework.
One of the most important factors in therapy is ensuring you work with a therapist who you feel at ease with and able to speak freely without judgement.
Therefore, I offer a free, initial 20-minute call to enable us to have a chat about what is important to you and how we might be able to work together.
I work with individuals aged 18 and over on a one to one basis.
If you decide to proceed after the initial call, sessions are available either online via Zoom or In-person in Godalming, Surrey. Sessions are available in the evenings on weekdays and Saturdays.
Each session will last 50 minutes and will cost £65.
Any cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be chargeable at the full rate.
I am bound by the BACP Ethical Code of Conduct. In line with this all sessions are confidential within the limits of safeguarding. I also attend regular supervision with a qualified practitioner.
