Do you experience feeling lost, low or perhaps unsure about what to do next? Do you no longer enjoy things in the same way and perhaps find it hard to describe how you feel?
As a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, with a Masters's degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am informed by a range of different theoretical insights. With a focus on building sessions around what is important to you as an individual and adapting sessions accordingly and through using the language and approach that supports your way of understanding.
Life can throw us unexpected challenges and the impact of these may be immediately felt, but they could also crop up many months or years later. Our past experiences can intertwine with our family dynamics and current lifestyle to shape our perception of emotions and the situations we find ourselves in. These emotions can, at times, feel confusing and hard to put into words. Sometimes seeping out into other areas such as impacting general wellbeing and how we interact with others. At times this can be felt through Depression, Stress and/or Anxiety. Or perhaps it may be felt in other ways such as through not being able to sleep or finding things, we previously enjoyed, more challenging and less enjoyable.
In order to help facilitate a greater understanding of yourself, I recognise the importance and benefit of a non-judgemental and relational approach that gradually builds trust and is focused around your experience as an individual. Always adhering to the Ethical Framework set by the BACP in line with my membership with them, to ensure a safe space for you.
I am fortunate enough to have experience in a variety of different mental health settings, ranging from supporting individuals one to one and in groups, before moving onto senior management roles. Currently, alongside my private practice I lead on the development and delivery of mental health programmes, with a focus on early intervention and adapting support to individuals needs and experiences.
